Curators

Gabriel Ritter

Gabe is the Curator and Head of Contemporary Art at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. For The Armory Show, Ritter will oversee the fair’s Focus section, comprised of solo- and dual-artist presentations of new or rarely seen work by today’s most relevant and compelling artists.

Jen Mergel

Jen is an independent curator based in Boston, Massachusetts and from 2010-2017, she held the position of Senior Curator of Contemporary Art at the MFA Boston. Mergel will develop ambitious artists projects for Platform, which debuted in 2017 as a section devoted to large-scale and site-specific artworks.

Naomi Beckwith

Naomi is a curator at MCA Chicago, where she has spearheaded numerous critically acclaimed exhibitions and projects. For The Armory Show, Naomi will chair a new curatorial leadership summit that brings together prominent curators for a daylong program of events.
